Funeral advise you can trust
We achieve this goal through consumer education and outreach, including group presentations, printed materials, personal consultations, Maine price surveys, information about Maine funeral laws, and membership benefits. We encourage members to discuss their after-death preferences with family, friends and/or trusted advisors. We provide speakers who are well-informed about all aspects of after-death care.
Founded in 1973, the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Maine is one of more than 100 similar groups across the country, supported by the national Funeral Consumers Alliance (www.funerals.org). We are run solely by volunteers, and have no connection to the funeral industry or any religious group. Our membership is open to all.
Simply put, we are a group of people who have learned about planning funerals through personal experience, and we would like to share our knowledge with you.
